A proper cup of tea, and a taste of home
Cupán Tae — that's "cup of tea" in Irish (Gaeilge, if you're being formal about it) — opened in 2025 next door to Gaelic Imports, bringing the café to the corner that was always missing one. Everything in the kitchen is homemade every morning: soups, scones, soda bread, bridies and pasties. The tea comes in a proper little teapot — enough for two good cups, and it stays hot. Pull up a chair by the fireplace and stay a while. Sláinte.

Tue–Wed 8am–3pm · Thu–Fri 8am–7pm · Sat–Sun 8am–5pm · Closed Monday
Last orders go in 30 minutes before we close — dine-in or pickup, doesn't matter, the kitchen still needs its head start. Order-ahead food is ready in about 30–35 minutes, so time it right and it'll be waiting, not the other way around. Orders placed outside opening hours (or on a Monday, when we're closed) are ready from opening time on the next day we're open.
The app takes a big cut. We don't.
Order ahead below and skip the queue — your order goes straight to the café the moment you pay, just like ordering at the counter. The café keeps close to 100% of every order, versus giving up 25–30% to a food delivery app.

Regulars tell us it's the little teapot that does it — two proper cups, and it stays hot till the end — plus a chair by the fireplace on a cold Chicago day. We'll take it.
